Business plans are more than a budget or something prepared in haste for the Bank. They can be useful and powerful documents and plans of action if they are acted upon.

What we do is come into the business for an agreed period of time at an agreed fee and help “push” the owners and managers towards achieving the plan objectives. This role does not take the place of the enterprise’s accountants or other advisers – in fact the role is more like a that on a non-executive Chairman. It makes everyone accountable for the plan and gives a sense of achievement. It may also have the effect of adding confidence in the enterprise to the bankers and creditors.

Having been at the sharp end of small business, we feel that we have the courage, presence and understanding to carry out this role very effectively. We also have a number of experts standing behind us – the two skills we have here are in Performance Measurement and also Cash Flow and Profitability analysis.
